Yabause 0.9.10 alpha9 Released
The Team behind Yabuse a Sega Saturn emulator for various platforms has released a new version. The Sega Saturn emulator is the first of its kind as it's emulating the complex processes of the Sega Saturn which is much harder than it looks, and even harder to run on the limited hardware of the Wii.
What's New?
* based on the original yabause r2411
* fix putting position of vdp1 in the games using high resolution modes

It was the first emulator complex to processes ? I disagreed because SSF was the first emulator and have the higher compatibility games and fantastic emulator of all time but too bad that he didnt bring it to Wii. It would be nice. Anybody can contact SSF author ?

As soon as the wii got a dual core, enough Ram and especially a better GPU.
Then we can think about contacting the SSF author. ^^

saturn on the wii is a big joke..... it's never going to be playable. Unless playing at 5fps is considered fun :P

Yabause is a proof of concept, don't expect any comercial game to be playable (just remember I didn't try hombrew demos yet).
If you guys have time, you can give a try to Story of Thor 2 (NTSU Legend of Oasis). It is the most "playable " game I've found. Honestly I still hold out a little hope for playing that game (and a few other 2D games) on a decent frameskip, in less than a decade, supposing dynamic recompilation can be that magical

I guess not. Truth is I knew nothing about somebody trying to port FF7. All homebrew I know are from rockin-b coding contests or dcemu mainly. Unfortunately no big deal compared to other console scenes
